Simmzy's Venice Brings Burgers And Craft Beer To Washington Blvd.
Just in time for the first full weekend of summer, Simmzy's debuted its latest outpost for burgers and craft beer in Venice today, just a few blocks from the sand on Washington Blvd.
With a menu that ranges from the signature Simmzy's burger with angus beef, chow chow onions, melted cheddar and garlic aioli ($10) and a haystack of blue cheese shoestring fries ($7), to the kale caesar ($9.50) and house-made desserts, the upscale casual eatery with its lengthy selection of craft beer and wine feels right at home. Local details are mixed into the decor including the beer flight serving platters made from Arbor skateboard decks, and custom surfboards from Anderson Surfboards.
To show gratitude to their new community, Simmzy's also hosted a Facebook contest to nominate a local charity that would receive all proceeds from opening day, and it's going to Venice Symphony Orchestra.
This will be the fourth Simmzy's with others located in Long Beach, Manhattan Beach and Burbank. It's part of the Simms Restaurant Group, which is also behind Manhattan Beach Post, Tin Roof Bistro, Fishing With Dynamite, and The Arthur J Steakhouse.
“Venice is a vibrant, tight-knit community full of people who love it for its dynamic culture and charm,” said Mike Simms, Los Angeles native and co-founder of Simms Restaurant Group. “At Simmzy’s we want to create a sense of place that embodies the exciting energy of this town, where both locals and visitors will feel at home while enjoying simple, top-quality food, hand-crafted beers, and exceptional service. “
Open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, Simmzy's will also feature local breweries including Santa Monica Brew Works, MacLeod Ales, and its soon-to-come Venice neighbor Firestone.
