L.A.'s Top Chocolatiers Inspire Salt & Straw's February Flavors
Valentine's Day is for lovers. Of chocolate. And chocolate ice cream.
In the spirit of the holiday, Salt & Straw has again partnered with L.A.'s best chocolatiers for a very sweet series of limited February flavors. Here's a look at what's on the menu now through March 2.
Twenty-Four Blackbirds' Matcha Mint Chocolate Ganache: Mint ganache made with Santa Barbara mint leaves stirred into matcha ice cream with a touch of citrus.
Bar au Chocolat's Marzipan Chocolate Tango: "Marzipan custard ice cream dancing in time with a thick arc of malted milk chocolate fudge."
Compartés' Spring Awakening: "Chocolate covered freeze-dried strawberries, raspberries and blueberries in milk chocolate ice cream with a kick of strawberry vanilla jam."
ChocoVivo's Mayan Tradition: "Chocolate ice cream blended with cacao nibs, California almonds, Ceylon Cinnamon sticks, and three kinds of chiles."
Ococoa's Port & Caramel Truffle: "Port and salted caramel chocolate ice cream decked out with port chocolate sauce and slices of ganache."
